The concept loosely follows the current scientific discoveries. This exoplanet is tidally locked in the habitable zone of its parent star Proxima Centauri, so one side is always facing the sun. The only livable region with liquid water would be a narrow area where these two hemispheres meet, portrayed with a greenish band and scattered lakes on the illustration.
