Hello to all creative friends! I introduce myself; My name is Olivier SIMON and I am a creative craftsman. That is, I design my own furniture. I live and work in Paris, in the 12th arrondissement,… the cabinetmakers quarter since Louis XIV. I graduated from an art school: Boulle school. I already have a "utility" logo for my business. I now need to affirm my quality of cabinetmaker, by founding a visual identity. My "universe": modern, classy, ​​mixing the organic and the sharp, the abrupt (think of the cutting edge of wood scissors, planes, saws, machines ...). I like the silhouettes on a black background (the dark light). I would like to create a dark atmosphere. I will show in PJ. I work the material, with my hands, and the hands are our capital, they differentiate us (between artisans). Moreover, I certainly work with the material, but not only the wood. Resin, polyurethane foams, honeycomb panels, epoxy, corian ... are also part of my work materials. I love the touch, the textures, the print, the product, the physical, the tangible, the hands, the grain of the wood and the skin.
