Background information
Name to incorporate in the logo
Five Cities Endodontics
Slogan to incorporate in the logo
Description of the organization and its target audience
Edit to add: After receiving the design submissions, we realized that we would like the logo to emphasize "compassionate" care. We would also like the word, "Endodontics," to be more striking than "Five Cities." There are many businesses in the surrounding area with "Five Cities" in their name. So, we feel the word, "Endodontics," should be the more prominent word. Thank you!
“Five Cities Endodontics” (root canal specialist) located in the historic village of Arroyo Grande, CA is looking for a logo that is clean, distinct, and easily viewable. This is a start-up, female-owned dental practice focused upon compassionate, quality endodontic therapy. The logo should capture the essence of this caring, modern, technologically advanced dental practice set in an historic Victorian cottage surrounded by a lush California/Mediterranean landscape garden while not necessarily being a literal representation. Have fun, be creative. The logo will be used on business cards, website, embroidery on clothes and blankets, signs, letterhead, referral documents, etc. The target audience is primarily referring general dentists in the local area.

Other notes
The “Five Cities” are not cities in the usual sense, but rather a grouping of smaller towns; therefore, a logo containing a ‘cityscape’ will be most likely be rejected. We’re looking for something possibly beyond the usual dentist logo equals teeth, but we won’t reject a tooth concept out of hand. The competition jury will be two health care professionals and two architects.
