xavier H got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Website for guide to compare open source solutions
Check out xavier H's Web page design contest…
The website will be a catalogue to compare different open source solutions. Website will be responsive.
1) - Homepage (you can make adjustements, you don't have to follow exactly the wireframe, you can add some photos, more products etc. But all elements should be present). A) Header : a. Logo + H1 b. Menu c. Field “Research” We want to see the number of products "35 solutions open source à découvrir", we need to really see this part. Next to this element, there is "Je propose ma solution" meaning "I want to add a product", this part needs to be visible too to incite people to make suggestions. B) Block “research” : it will be on all pages, it’s an easy way to find a product. For each fields, we need a multi-check. C) Block 3 : some text to explain what open source is D) Block 4 “A la Une” (= tha't products we want to highlight) : products will be display on this page, the image will be the logo of the product. And a button “Voir la fiche” to access to the product. E) Block 5 : to show the last products published on the website. For each we will have : Logo/name/Category/Rating. You can suggest another layout. F) Block 6 : the last comment from internet user with name of the product / name of the person / rating / comment G) Block 7 : Actualities with text/date/title (no need photo) H) Block 8 : advertising 2) - Solutions Open Source It's a transitional page with three sub-categories : Applications / Infrastructures / Developpement (and others sub sub categories). At the left, it's a quick access to each part. For each product, we need to see the logo / title / rating. 3) - E-commerce It's a short introduction to each product : - title - logo - text - rating for "Logiciel-libre.org" - rating for "Utilisateurs" 4) - Blue Cube It's the page of presentation of the product. First we have all the details about the product (+ logo) + different ratings (the first one is bigger because that's the average between two ratings). Secondly, some text to present the product Then, we will have 6 characteristics and a need a way to show a rating for each, very visual, to see immediatly the difference between each characteristics. It can be show with differents ways, in the wireframes there are two examples but you can make your own suggestions. And, to finish we need to see the opinion of the users.
VERY VERY IMPORTANT You can make adjustements in wireframes, important is we see all elements but you can suggest different layouts. We also need a logo, but a simple one, only working on the font.
