New website design wanted for Safe Search Kids

Safe search engine for kids. The website targets schools, teachers, parents and kids.

Home page is be like a search engine... with the search bar more prominant than on our current site.  Larger size with good border around search bar.  We only need a home page.  Concept should be clean, but virbrant.

In the final hours, we have streamlined our final selection process.  The top two designs have touched on these concepts. Vibrant graphic background (full screen)- image(s) of kids on computer (real photo stock images, not caricatures).  Kids should be 12 - 14 years of age... do not focus on little kids themes as it turns off the older kids. Centralized search bar with title above as the heading for the site:  Safe Search Kids or Safe Search for kids. Room for the following text in two places... 1.   The kid friendly search engine where safe search is always active, regardless of your computer and browser settings. 2.  Bookmark Safe Search for Kids to automatically lock safe search on your computer” as well as a button that states 'Make Safe Search Kids your Home Page'.

There should be no attempt by the designer to mimic Google in anyway. Operative word is safe search KIDS, not safe search GOOGLE. No Flash. This needs to load quickly easily on any computer including smart phones. Don't use a crayon coloring theme as there is a competitor that does that already. We are looking for vibrant sharp graphics of real kids. Do not focus on little kids.  Needs to appeal to all agrees... up to middle school ages.  If it looks like a little kids site, then older kids will not think it's cool to use.

Our focus for this task is to get a killer design that will attract parents, teachers and kids alike. As mentioned, needs to have a cool factor for kids up to 14 years but doesn't eliminate younger kids using it.
