Tim.rider got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Need a responsive web app for file upload and search
Check out Tim.rider's Web page design contest…
We are an IT service provider to the US government. This project is for an internal user community and will not be public facing.
We're looking for a cross between sleek corporate and dark / edgy. Something that is creative and highly functional. This app needs to quickly convey high level information and have intuitive navigation. There is a basic wireframe of the pages we're looking to have designed attached. Chartreuse Puppy is a fake name that should be in text for us to change out once the site goes live. These wireframes show a "tab" navigation metaphor. This is not what we're looking for. What we are looking for is the designer to come up with a better navigation scheme. This site needs to be responsive and therefore work well on both desk/laptop browers, and mobile (tablet, phone, including iOS)
Please see the attached wireframe Login Page: Simple login screen with text fields for user name, password, remember me, forgot password link and login button. Program Detail Page: This page will display a list of programs or contracts that when selected will pull information on that given program and display it in the various sections. The list of programs could be a hierarchical list that users could group into categories such as Computers Program 1 Program 2 Program 3 Networking Program 4 Program 5 Program 6 Etc File Management Page: This page allows a user to upload files and includes text areas to enter keywords and tags for that file. The upload button isn't usable until the user has browsed for the file. User Admin Page: Allows users with access to that page the ability to set a user's permissions Search results Page: This page us accessed after a user has searched for a document. The top shows the current search parameters and the bottom shows a list of documents that meet those parameters. This is a list of documents with various datapoints such as date created, date uploaded, document type, etc. The filename will be a link that opens the document. On the left is an advanced search that allows a user to put things like a date range, boolean logic, etc
What to avoid
This design should be a modern as possible and must be responsive to scale from full size monitor to mobile phone. No Flash or Silverlight.
There is a wireframe diagram below that shows what we're looking for on a broad scale. We'd like all source files used, unflattened PSDs and Sketch files delivered with this project

Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
Tim.rider collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
