Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We provide content delivery systems and services - typically via satellite. The target audience for our website will be 1) technical communications managers looking to research our capabilities, and 2) decision makers/senior management wanting to learn more about what we do at a higher level and who we are.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
In general, want something more modern and better organized than the horrible one we have now. Less content, more visuals, cleaner, easier to navigate.
For all of these, see the attached PPT.
1. Homepage - main landing page and nav starting point. Deliver "big" messages via scrolling banners.
2. Main category page - for second-level nav - e.g. "Products" and "Solutions"
3. Detail page - third-level nav - specific product or specific solution
Want a "fixed" menu at top of page that doesn't scroll away. Also like the appearance of another fixed object that appears after some scrolling,
Want to have box floating in a margin, say, that could highlight another page or a landing page for a promo. Want a design for box-shaped clickable areas for promoting other parts of the site.
I like the font that Okta uses. Very clean - a "fine" type of look vs. "regular." Also want to get more professionally done icons - like what's in the attached example.
NOTE: the attached PPT is useful as a content reference - don't necessarily take it too literally. Also, if you run it in slideshow mode, it simulates the behavior of the mouseovers.
Fonts are Apple SD Gothic Neo and Malgun Gothic.
We have a subscription to iStockPhoto - so can use stock from there if you wish.
