Flight Lab
We are a small start up in New Zealand which is aiming to provide web based software for pilots and aviation schools around New Zealand, Australia initially.
We require a modern looking website!
Our target audience is professionals, the aviation industry aims for a high level of professionalism and safety, it's paramount that the design instills confidence in the visitor/user of the website.
We require:
- a logo
- 3 web pages (home page, login page, generic template)
- simple tabbed menus
- simple but nice looking rounded buttons
- the pages will need to fit into a 1024x768 screen centered (eg: http://www.xero.com/accounting-software/ but with the top blue band expanding to 100%)
- The logo must have an aircraft.
- The main color must be bluish
- Fonts must be clear and sized correctly for readability
- We like rounded corners and rounded buttons (eg: login button in https://login.xero.com/?bhcp=1
- We also like the look of each product listed at http://www.ebus.tv/products it would be great to have a rounded box around them
Our current products are
- Flight School Management System
- Navigation Planner
- Logbook
- Training guides
Example logos we like

Home page
- see http://www.xero.com/ there is a main header with a placeholder for an image/video then there is a section below it broken into 4 pieces (better banking, online accounting...etc) we'd like somehting similar but with the look of http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-nz/bb188199.aspx
Login page
https://login.xero.com/?bhcp=1
- simple top menu, logo below the top menu with tagline
- login screen similar to the above and centered on screen
Generic template
- Left hand side menu bar (200px in width)
- Right hand side content
http://gc.flightlab.co - this is a prototype of the site, it's neutral at the moment, up to you about the design
http://www.xero.com - as explained above
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-nz/default.aspx - we like the concept of people having the ability to select which software they run, in this example there are 4 boxes (desktop, web, cloud, phone), we also like the simple tab navigation
