The Advisor Fund Report
After years of publishing via e-mail, we are looking to bring our investment newsletter online via a free blog and a paid-subscription section. We aim to have a very professional, data-driven approach to our writing.
Our target audience is financial advisors. They are extremely busy professionals, so having a way to browse the latest news and access information is key.
The title of the page is "The Advisor Fund Report" with the subheading "Mutual Fund Research and Practice Management". No logo has been designed yet. Website address is: http://www.advisorfundreport.com
The site's goal is relatively simple. The core of the front page will be a blog updated regularly with short descriptions of relevant news stories. Apart from the "Journal" (aka the blog), we will have other sections, including "Subscriber Resources", "Recommended Reading", "Search", "Archive" and "About Us".
The site will likely be hosted on Squarespace.com, which is fairly flexible for layout, but not perfect. A header, menu line, and two-column main body is probably the best.
For regulatory reasons, we will not serve statistics on investments, just commentary. That is, no need to design a section with many market statistics and charts.
I would prefer to have a dark blue theme (color choice yours), but will need a color palette with red, green, yellow (highlighting), grey and black.
