amy 4w got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Fresh, new look for Orchard Corset website
Check out amy 4w's Web page design contest…
We sell quality corsets/shapewear to women aged 25-55.
We are an upbeat, friendly company that strives on corseting expertise, quality products, and friendly customer service. We want to draw in fun, everyday customers. We're not aiming for edgy or hipster. When a customer sees the corsets on our site, we want them to feel like they could see themselves wearing a corset around town, not just for special occasions or costuming. We hope our customers will feel confident, fun, and stylish in our corsets. Corsets can really help with back pain, posture, self-image, and confidence in addition to shaping. We're hoping for a clean, spacious feel but with some character and friendliness. Our site needs to be easy to understand since our target audience spans into the somewhat less techy age range. Our current site feels very crowded, wordy, and somewhat dated. It doesn't give the soft, friendly impression that we are looking for. We're looking for a more inviting experience that draws you in and makes you feel comfortable staying a while. We offer the corsets but we are also eager to inform our customers with our articles and videos as well as have them call and get pointed to the right corset for their unique body. What we're looking for is inspiration. We want to try something new and have some fun and we encourage you to do the same. Try some new designs, atypical navigation, endearing subtleties... come up with the fun and friendly company image you see women really loving. Guidelines: - We want to keep our logo. The tree can be moved independently from the text "Orchard Corset" (Ex. moved above or scaled differently) but the text should be on the same line. - We like our dark teal #26747B and light teal #99CCCC. Homepage: We use banners/slides quite a bit. We're somewhat interested in a collage/picture grid but try anything and everything. Looking for inspiration. Product page: Keep it simple. We've gotten wordy and cluttered with our product page so we want to take a big step away from that. We have great videos (and plan on making even more) and awesome reviews so we definitely want to feature those in some way. Play with it. :)
