We are looking for a website design to go with our logo (attached).
Please use the logo as a reference on what colors to use in the site design, in addition with light blue-grey and dark blue-grey colors (derivated from the colors of our logo) to be used as background colors.
The site should look up to date with current design trends and a web 2.0 touch, which is crucial for our law firm specialized in IP IT.
We also need to keep the traditional image of a law firm.
The design will consist of 3 pages :
- the home page;
- a secondary page to be used as a template for the various content pages;
- a blog page for our news and publications, with social network integration
All pages will have the same header and footer:
UPDATE #2 : The header will contain our logo (attached) and the following horizontal main menu items (updated order) : Accueil ; Cabinet ; Avocats ; Compétences ; Actualités ; Nous contacter. We don't want tabs or buttons for the main menu items. We'd like to have a main menu made in one piece, on the full width of the page.
The header should also contain on the upper right corner links to the English and the French version of the web site.
UPDATE #2 : we need to say we have an office in Paris, in Montreal and an associated office in Vancouver (in this order : PARIS - MONTREAL - VANCOUVER). Could you suggest an office item somewhere (maybe near the English/French items, or somewhere else above the image banner)? We only need links with the cities names. We won't show offices details on the home page (i.e. address, phone number etc).
UPDATE #2 : We need to specify that the office in Vancouver is an associated office. We need a design that show it's not a "regular" office (example : double line of separation).
The footer should contain a copyright notice on the left and the following links on the right : Plan du site, Mentions légales, Crédits, Contact
UPDATE #2 : we'd like to add a search field in the footer with a round shape corners (not too big) with a "magnifying glass" button similar to the spotlight button of Mac OS.
UPDATE #2 : The footer should also contain icons for LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and RSS feed.
We'd like not too big not tto small icons, like on the home page of this website : http://www.fmc-law.com. We'd like to have to icons with their original colors.
UPDATE #2 : we don't need to have the main menu copied in the footer. we don't want to have our logo in the footer.
Below the banner, we need two columns : a main column on the left (to make a short presentation of our firm) and a secondary narrower column on the right (to announce news and publications).
UPDATE #2 : We'd like to separate "news" and "publications" in the right columns, with of course a "read more" link.
UPDATE #2 : The content page should have a two columns layout under a very narrow image banner, being a smaller version of the 3 banners of the Home page (same image, same color), like on this example : http://www.tsc-avocats.com/ip
The narrower left column of content page should contain a sub menu with links to sub pages.
The main column on the right should contain two sections, the first one "Compétence" and the second one below "Expériences récentes" with bullet points for representative works like on this page : http://www.fmc-law.com/Home/AreaOfE…gecookie=1
the Blog page : we want to give this page a friendly easy to understand - "Wordpress" feel to it, with integration of social network icons, such as Facebook, twitter, RSS etc
no existing website, just an "under construction page" at http://www.wo-avocats.com
