Pro Bark
*** Update: August 8, 2009 / 8:00PM CDT *** This contest is closed to new contestants. ***
We are only accepting revisions from existing contestants. ***
Our Current Website:
http://www.pro-bark.com/
It is currently very basic. We were attempting to build brand recognition with the colored beavers, which is cute and creative, but we are open to other ideas. We need a website redesign.
What Our Customers Can Expect:
Always someone on-site to load your truck or trailer
(don't have to throw out your back shoveling mulch)
Fast delivery to your property
(get your mulch on time)
Free Delivery and Quantity Discounts
(save time and money)
Always a Full Load
(won't run out of mulch, won't get ripped off)
Home owners and commercial property managers
We would like to see a mockup of a Home Page, a Mulch Calculator page, and a Mulch Picker page, and a generic page that we can use informational articles about mulch.
Desired Navigation:
Home
Mulch Picker
Mulch Calculator
Mulch Tips
Our Location
Phone number should be large, and on every page, with a call to action above or beside it, like "Schedule Delivery Today... Call: 262-695-2275" or something more catchy or benefit driven.
Logo should be re-vectorized if possible. The green and blue on the current site are our company colors.
Other Websites We Like:
http://www.melvinmulch.com
We like the fun feeling of the cartoon and the interactive nature of this website. The Mulch Picker page is a great idea. we like how the visitor can choose from various scenes, and also different colors, however, when the light-colored mulches are displayed, the cutout doesn't look good.
A Mulch Calculator We Like:
http://www.atstecks.com/mulch.htm
We like this mulch calculator because multiple calculations can be made and the price automatically updates. Options are available for rectangular & round beds, but the layout is aweful. This can be laid out much better to be more intuitive, either breaking the process into Step 1, 2, 3, for example. The total price, total yards or bags needed should always be visible, and much larger.
No coding required, but is an option for after the content.
