FriendParty
We're a bootstrapped startup trying to connect real life (going out, meeting people, partying) with friends on the web to create a new experience of knowing where your friends are partying and seeing upfront if you find the other people in that location interesting.
Our focus is on a young audience going out to clubs, discotheques and bars, trying to see beforehand who's there and what friends you will meet in that place. There's also a dating aspect by being able to follow women or men you like.
We are looking for a clean, fresh and light (no dark backgrounds please) design that is easy to understand for the user.
This means, that we would like to see your ideas on how to place the screen elements in the best way to achieve the best possible usability.
Even if the basic technological ideas are similar to some kind of a "Twitter for going out" and even if we want to benefit from a zero learning curve for regular Twitter users using our site, we would appreciate to NOT look like a copy of Twitter.
We've built a mockup that demonstrates the home page screen and the most important screens inside the app:

Please don't use this as your basic layout for the screen elements - be creative about placing functions and features in different ways!
We would like to see designs for the homepage and the "FriendStream" page. The other inner pages are optional, but at least can give you an impression of some of the other functionality.
We have no logo yet, so please just go ahead with a placeholder for "FriendParty".
The files we will requie are layered .psd (RGB) and .png.
