We need a visionary designer that can create a digital museum/gallery and its logo. Our project aims to be a new generation art gallery which combines the principles of a New York City art gallery (white space where the art pieces are the focus) with the concept of of users interacting online. The winning designer may be requested to do some additional work for some extra budget we have available.
Target: 2 Main Audiences:
The Creative Types: creative adults which are into all sorts of art: media, fashion, sculpture, design, painting, photography etc.
The Art Buyer Types: individuals with a passion for art & design or art dealers & organisations interested in investing in a collection.
Do clean & modern logo. We like (but do not limit yourself ): http://www.moma.org/, http://www.tate.org.uk/modern/ or http://designmuseumshop.com/, Vogue, MTV. Can be any case, any colour but keep clean.
The Concept: we need a space designed with the following 5 components:
1. The Slim Top Horizontal Navigation Bar:
This will be for navigation (e.g. facebook after log in). Should contain the logo, 4 menu options (profile, contacts, artists, inbox & log in) & choose language.
2.Collection Title & Description:
The paragraph & title appear above the collection. The paragraph is not shown in full (only first 3 lines with link to see rest).
3. Preview Space: The preview space shows up to 9 miniatures of art pieces in the collection (e.g mosaic style). Include next page/go back button in case there's more than 9 miniatures in collection & a sort button to sort by rating.
4.The Display Box: This Box is on the same page and is a big square space showing the artwork from the preview space when clicked in a bigger format. It has small menu with 4 options - donate, rate, full screen & send.
5. Miniblog: appears below the Display Box & is for user comments.
Lastly include a footer with usual links (privacy, about us etc) and show how a static page looks e.g About us.
Design for 1024 x 768. Expandable to screen size. Provide PhotoShop file & layers with fonts. Keep things above the fold.
