Dr. Ed McLaren is the Director of the UCLA Center for Esthetic Dentistry. Dr. McLaren is a prominent lecturer and sells a variety of products related to his area of expertise. These products include: photographic prints, books, CD's and DVD's.

While the overall layout isn't very pretty this site is easy to navigate and is pretty usable. We are hoping to achieve a high level of usability with an attractive layout. Additionally our site won't have as much content as this site does so it should be quite a bit easier to achieve the usability while not feeling as cluttered as this site does.

Main Page
This page should set the overall tone for the website. This page should be used to display summarized data from the other pages and highlight product offerings. Please refer to the attached mockup for an idea of the general direction for this page.

Image Gallery
Dr. McLaren sells photographic prints in addition to the books and DVDs. This gallery needs to be an extension of the products pages in that it provides an easy way to browse the available prints and add one or more to the user’s shopping cart. It is important that this page is easy to navigate and behave in a way consistent with an image gallery.

Products
This page is used to add books and DVDs to a user’s shopping cart. The current size of the product catalog is not large so the products that are being offered should feature prominently on this page. The aim is to display information about each product as well as make it very easy for a user to add a product to their shopping cart.

Videos
An additional product that will be offered with this website is pay per view videos of Dr. McLaren’s lectures. This page needs to be able to allow the user to navigate the available videos. On this page they can view a preview of the video as well as add a video for purchase. So this page needs to allow for a video area where the user can view the preview as well as place an order for the full version.

Event Calendar
This page needs to display upcoming events and speaking engagements that Dr. McLaren will be a part of. This page needs to display a calendar (will be using JQuery Full Calendar) as well as an upcoming events list. The idea is to combine to calendar with a events selection to make it easy to navigate the upcoming events easily.

Each page should use one of the logos from the Logo Files zip file. The logo chosen should set the overall tone and color scheme for the site.

The mockup should be referred to for the main page only and should not restrict the designer as to the color scheme for the site. We just liked the general direction.

Dr. McLaren's two websites listed above will be combined into one website so please refer to both of them to see the products and information offered as our new website design will need to encompass both current sites.

The final website design will need to be delivered as a well layered PSD file.
