Dauphin's Countryfest

We are a music festival in search of a clothing merchandise design concept. We are Canada's longest running countryfest music festival. Past performers include Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, Alabama, Eric Church, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, Tim McGraw, Jason Aldean, Billy Currington, and many more.
Aside from the more known names in the entertainment industry, we take pride in showcasing new artists. Our name is Dauphin's Countryfest, however we focus on a little more than just Country music, such as bluegrass, roots, blues, and folk.
Dauphin's Countryfest is a 4 day outdoor music festival with 3 stages, food & merchandise vendors, extracurricular activities as well as approximately 4,000 campsites. With a packed house it is a huge party every year!

We are launching a new line of merchandise strictly for on line purchasing.

We would be looking for a design that could be used on a number of different pieces of clothing. So if a t-shirt design is larger, we may want to pull one smaller central or recognizable element from the design and use it on a hat.

We are open to both a full graphic design or just a logo that can be placed on any type of merchandise.

The merchandise possibilities could be one or all of the following items:
--T-Shirt
--Pullover hoodie/sweatshirt
--Zip up hoodie/sweatshirt
--Hat (cap or winter beanie/touque)

We would like something that is conducive to both silk screening and embroidering.

DESIGN CONCEPT: We are all about live music and energy. We are country, but edgy and current. We would like to stay away from a heavy cowboy theme: we do not want boots, spurs, horses, etc. We are a music festival that focuses mainly on Country music, however we also have alternative, roots, bluegrass, etc. Country music is known more and more to cross over to a number of genres with artists like Taylor Swift, Lady Antibellum, Kid rock, Hank Williams Jr, etc.

There could be two options that we would consider working with for a design concept.
1) Using our name "Dauphin's Countryfest" as the brand within the design.

OR

2) Coming up with a "clothing brand" for Dauphin's Countryfest such as "DCF" or a logo (for example) that doesn't necessarily say our name but can be associated with us and we can work our name in somewhere else on the Merchandise. (such as have the brand name or logo on the front of the t-shirt and then have "Dauphin's Countryfest" somewhere else visible on the t-shirt such as the nape of the neck on the back.

FILE TYPE: we would prefer Corral (.cdr) or Illustrator (.ai).
