We need some cool and edgy T-shirt artwork that involves motorcycle racing.
-Designs should be "current", edgy, cool and somewhat aggressive.
-You can incorporate the brand name VicciMoto (all one word) into the designs as you wish, or you can design without the brand- whatever works best for your design, it doesn't matter to us in this contest.
-The graphics should be the most important part of the design, as opposed to the brand name. (Again, the designs can be done with or without the brand name so it's obviously not critical.)
-Style of motorcycles can vary but we'll lean more towards Street Bikes as opposed to Harleys, etc.
-If there is a rider on the bike, they should definitely be wearing a helmet.
-For inspiration, check out the pics on these sites to see action shots as well as the style of the motorcycles we're talking about:
-Using Livetrace on photos is a great option, just be sure you've eliminated/ modified all recognizable logos so nothing is legible (or easily recognized based on logo shape, etc.) and of course, be sure you're changing everything enough that you can comfortably call it your own.
-These shirts are for the more modern race fan so please don't overdo the checkered flags. It's okay to include them if the design calls for it but we suggest keeping them fairly subtle.
-Tshirt background can be black, white or charcoal gray- you decide what works best for your designs. Shirt background must be a solid color (meaning, do not use a white body with black sleeves as it will be eliminated. Solid color shirt background only.)
-Keep color count at 5 Pantone colors or less. Use good judgment on colors- hot pink on a men's T isn't too popular in the racing world so you can probably avoid pink altogether.
-Don't be afraid of 1 or 2 color count designs, we like them just as much as (and probably better than) the high color counts.
-Avoid designs that wrap around the body, etc. as we can't produce them effectively.
-The designs will be screenprinted so limit the shading- if you run Reflex blue at 10%, 20%, 30% etc, the final shirt may end up looking like a half-toned mess so just keep that in mind as you design. Solid colors are good!
-Vector graphics are HIGHLY preferred.
-Final submitted files must be in Spot/PMS color. Do not submit them in CMYK, RGB, etc. or they will be rejected!
-If you are working in Photoshop, you must make sure your art follows all of these requirements or we cannot accept.
*Do not use CMYK or RBG color. All colors must be easily separated into solid Pantone colors.
*Print color separations before you submit the art to confirm if it will separate properly. (I don't know how to do this in Photoshop but it can easily be done in Acrobat. Message me directly if you need details on how to do.)
*Our maximum print size is 16" wide x 20" tall, please set up your files accordingly.
*Final submitted art files MUST be a minimum of 300 native dpi at full print size.
*Do not use filters that cannot be easily separated into Pantone colors! Many common PhotoShop filters do not work in screenprint. If you want to use a PS filter, please search online first to determine if it will screen print well in Spot color printing. If it doesn't print properly, the design cannot be used.
* Final files must be in Spot/PMS color only.
