onthebuspodcast got their new logo & social media pack by running a design contest:
Podcast needs a creative logo of a wild bus ride
Check out onthebuspodcast's Logo & social media pack contest…
(we are a media company). The podcast is a talk podcast with successful young adults that have unique jobs. Past guests have been - Tech CEO, a monk, poker player, drummer, travel blogger, etc. Our goal is to share these conversations. Topics range from artificial intelligence and the singularity to consciousness, nutrition, drugs and travel. Everything is open format. Target audience is 16-40. Millenials. Men and Women.
Other color requirements
Make the bus yellow... Feel free to add other colors to it as long as the base color is yellow Vortex colors are open interpretation but black is usually a good one
We have a previous build that was a good outline of what we wanted but nowhere near the quality we desire (see attachment). We want a redesign. Below is some context on the previous build as well as what we are looking for on the new logo. – What does each element on the logo mean to you? What is the idea behind it? The Bus is our means of transportation. A bus driver is the quintessential guide on a wild journey. Best viewed as a sage or a shaman, they look out for you on an adventure. The bus represents this journey that our listeners (and guests) will be taken on. The vortex is an extension concept showing that you are about to be taken on an unknown journey. For the new logo: There is an attachment of an interesting logo of a bus as reference Logo Details Mix previous logo concepts with the new build Core Concepts People 1. One host driving the bus - This will be Brandon - his photo is attached. Please use his face as reference for the bus driver 2. One host sitting on top (similar to shown in attached logo) - This is Daniel (photo attached for reference) 3. Guest in the back running after the bus (open to artistic creativity) (This is completely open to interpretation - you can put the person on the bus, under the bus, whatever conveys the point that our guest is getting dragged onto the bus - Use any face you'd like Cliff -The Cliff (as seen in previous build) needs to be there but just a part of the foreground and shouldnt take from the eye of the viewer. -Edge of cliff begins at the start of the bus front bumper Vortex - Directly in front of bus - Where cliff ends (front bumper) - Open to artistic creativity and interpretation Key Ideas - energetic, fun, - wild ride, edgy, - bus drivers are shaman - Intellectually stimulating - For millennials Writing - "Brandon and Daniel's On the Bus Podcast" written somewhere - Maybe Our name big print and the other writing small print - Open to your artistic creativity or changes Background - Yellow bus - background colors unknown - whatever you think portrays our concepts Everything is open to interpretation. Open to any and all suggestions For Reference: Brandon the bus driver is wearing the brown jacket and Daniel has the close up shot
