Short version: Key points to note -
- Logo must include graphic and logotype
- Graphic should be a plane in some form (I prefer a paper plane)
- Logotype should be lowercase 'aero' not 'AERO'
- Logo should match the color and spirit of this website template: http://codeytech.com/site-templates…app-1.html (note the current logo on the page, its white and and colored versions)
It is critical that the logo includes both picture/graphic/abstract and and name. I would like to use the picture/graphic/abstract as a consistent element of future products and to use it as the icon for the mobile application. Therefore, I would like for the graphic to be identifiable and, at least, somewhat comprehendible outside of its link to the logotype "aero". This picture/graphic/abstract should not be some version of the letter "A" but something more imaginative but still representative. While you may explore 'aero' logotype in different formats (i.e. Aero or AERO), I will note that am biased toward the all lower case 'aero'.
While the name is not directly aligned with our product, I am looking to highlight flight/flying in some way. I would also like our logo to be suggestive of the following product qualities: easy to use, fast, reliable. To illustrate these qualities, I would like the customer to experience the following feelings from our logo: ease of use > whimsical/playful, fast > active, reliable > comfort. It would be great if you can incorporate this thinking into your design process. The way I imagine that these elements can be incorporated into the design is as follows: whimsical > animated/child-like, active > in motion, comfort > soft color.
As additional guidance, please see the linked website template: http://codeytech.com/site-templates…app-1.html. I am looking to find a logo that would fit the spirit of this format. Note the current logo in the corner. Note both versions: the white logo and the colored logo that appears when you stroll down. I would like both versions of these logos.
Additionally, I appreciated the animated, rounded nature of this logo. I would like the logo to exhibit a similar character. My initial sense of what I would like for the picture/graphic/abstract is a paper plane, not an actual plane. Also, do not use the uppercase "AERO". For some reason, that simply is not working for me. Finally, I prefer bolder letters (like that at the sample link) over thinner letters.
