pwgavin got their new signage by running a design contest:
Washington, D.C. documentary movie poster
Check out pwgavin's Signage contest…
We are a media organization currently focusing solely on film. My current project is "Nerd Prom: An anatomy of Washington's Wildest Week" (http://variety.com/2014/biz/news/documentary-sheds-light-on-how-d-c-s-nerd-prom-became-a-celebrity-swarm-1201168142/), which looks at the single most important event in our nation's capital each year...a big, nearly five day lineup of parties, power, politicians, celebrities, corporate sponsors, etc.
What's your vision?
I am looking for a movie poster for the aforementioned documentary. I probably won't know what I like until I see it BUT I know that I'm probably looking for something that conveys the gist of the film (think of it as Washington Gone Wild) without being *terribly* busy (doesn't have to be empty and too simple, either, but maybe somewhere in the middle). One idea is some sort of mixing of a DC monument (Capitol, Washington Monument--not White House) in a party setting (this is *not* a terribly good idea, but what if, say, the dome of the Capitol building was the top of a cocktail shaker or the Washington Monument was a joint, etc., etc.)
Somewhere on the poster, I'd like the following information to be conveyed. Title: "Nerd Prom: An analysis of Washington's wildest week." (I'd like Nerd Prom to be in all caps and "An Analysis of Washington's wildest week" to be in lower case and smaller font, underneath (or even somewhere else on the poster). "A film by Patrick Gavin" "Coming soon..." www.nerdpromthemovie.com and then the logo for PWG Media Group, which I am attaching I'm also attaching the title shot from the movie. This may turn out to be totally useless to you. I like it for the movie, but may be interested in something more different for the poster so take it or leave it as you wish. Thank you!
