The packaging design will be based on cost... we like neutral colors and black & whites... use color according to printing cost constraints.
Description of the product
Gather is a conversation game to spark meaningful connection. The product we are packaging is a set of conversation-starter cards (explained in detail in the brief). The cards anchor the conversation from beginning to end, allowing people to express themselves, talk about things that really matter and feel connected to others meaningfully. We are designing the cards + the vessel to contain them.
Description of the product target audience
Anyone who would like to connect more meaningfully with old friends, or new friends. We see these cards being sold at Whole Foods, so a woman planning a dinner party may buy them to use over dinner. Also book stores, Amazon and boutiques.
There are a few components to our design - the actual card layout + the vessel for the cards. Look at attached brief. Use Gotham extra light for now.
What to avoid
Kraft Paper Color on color Clutter Wasteful packaging, as this is one time use product
The cards at 5 inches square. So the vessel to contain them would be according to this. For logo (contest happening), barcodes etc, use placeholders until we have the final thing.
