idealgoals got their new product label by running a design contest:
Flavor Star Fruit Box Label/logo for Farmer Laura's start-up produce company
Check out idealgoals's Product label contest…
It is a one farmer start-up produce company that sells a wide variety of San Diego County California small farm-grown fruit directly to chefs at creative high-end restaurants.
What's your vision?
I would like a label/sticker that can be attached to cardboard produce boxes so the chef knows the source of the fruit. I don't have a logo yet so the label (or the unique/distinctive part of it) will serve as the logo. Include: Flavor Star Farm to Chef Rainbow, California prefer: some indication or image of a star and some indication/suggestion of fruit (which is the item being sold). I do not need labels for individual fruit types, just fruit in general. Please note below which fruits are actually grown/sold by the company- no fruit images other than the ones mentioned below, please. And prefer nuanced images of fruit or fruit shapes rather than photographic-type fruit pictures. See first three images posted below for examples that have different fruit shapes overlapping in different colors which might make a nice background.
Fruit that is grown and marketed include (seasonally): tangerines, oranges, limes, apricots, peaches, nectarines, plums, pears, apples, quince, figs, grapes, passionfruit, Passion flowers, mangos, guavas, dragonfruit, avocados. Biggest crops are tangerines, passionfruit, mangos, and grapes, apples, figs. I like the shapes of fruit below/possibility of using multiple fruit shapes as background like a collage - but with bolder colors Also pinterest has lots of old fruit crate labels as examples: try cutting and pasting this link for a group of examples. http://media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/17/f9/1c/17f91cf8e11c92ee563a58a8f11d6973.jpg
