skillocracy needed a new print or packaging design and created a contest on 99designs.
A winner was selected from 39 designs submitted by 9 freelance designers.
Skillocracy.com
Skillocracy.com is an online marketplace for contests – similar to 99designs, but for a wide variety of work including programming, research, engineering, etc. We believe the contest format can apply to any kind of freelance work online.
In terms of culture/personality, we are professional but also innovative.
We want to create a print brochure to give to potential customers, especially small businesses and startups.
Generally a professional crowd who want to get work done or get paid for their skills. Businesses, especially small businesses and entrepreneurs. Freelancers, students, and skilled people around the world.
Use elements and colors from our website at http://www.skillocracy.com , but you don’t have to follow it too closely (we are planning a site redesign anyway). We like the orange and blue colors, especially to represent the worker side (orange) and the buyer side (blue).
See the attached design in Word for our first draft of the layout and the copy. The content should generally follow this document, but we want your creative touch to make it look nice and professional! So feel free to move some things around, change text colors, add graphics, etc.
We’re also attaching a powerpoint that includes large versions of some of the images that are in the Word document. If you want to use additional stock images from istockphoto, include them in your design and we can purchase them (but don't overdo it).
The brochure images (both sides) should follow the “Letterhead” bleed size and trim size under “print guidelines”, at 300dpi. Please send PSD files so we can make changes to the copy later, as well as PDF files to print.
Thanks!
Chris
