So, I've added the photo I mentioned to this brief, It's the second one, IMG_2180. Please give me your best rendering on it.
The synopsis is following:
Daliyah al-Mansouri is a college student from Jordan with one secret agenda: to carry out a suicide attack on the campus of the school she attends. While she waits for the time to come, she blends in, living a quiet life and going to classes like everyone else. Periodically, she meets with a contact for guidance and material support. On one such meeting, she receives advice on avoiding suspicion which leads her to mixing with her targets in ways she never intended. She begins to see them in a new light and makes a few friends. Now, as the time to execute the mission arrives, Daliyah must make a decision that will affect her and everyone else’s lives. She must decide who or what she’ll be true to—the people she’s come to love or the glory of martyrdom she so coveted and has worked several months for.
The front cover design needed to be stylish, beautiful and appeal to a wide audience.
The photo currently attached is the way (including text) in which I want the title written on the cover. My name does not have to be in the same font type.
I’m open to creativity, as long as it helps to convey the message of terrorism. I like The Kite Runner’s cover. Let that be an influence as well.
I'VE DECIDED TO ALLOW FOR MORE CREATIVITY, SO I'M GOING TO ALLOW YOU TO DESIGN BASED ON YOUR OWN THOUGHTS. DO WHATEVER YOU THINK THE COVER SHOULD BE after reading the book's synopsis. Then I will provide a photo which I would like you to use in a second option for what I'm thinking.
This book is for the discerning, sophisticated readers who have international cognizance.
It's a 6x9 trim size. I want some sort of darkness to it. That is, it shouldn't invoke a sense of happy jolly, but in the midpoint of terror and feel-good.
And whatever the background image would be should run to the back of the book.
