Emery Unified School District /City of Emeryville
The Emery Unified School District and the City of Emeryville are working in partnership to create a new public k-12/community center/community library facility to meet and enhance the education, recreation, and social service needs of the entire community.
Our architecture team is hosting a series of monthly Community Design Workshops as part of the conceptual and schematic design process. We want to create:
1) a postcard for the next design meeting, 9/17/11 from 2-5 pm at the Emery Secondary School, that also has save the date information for the following 5 sessions.
2) a door hanger and/or magnet that has the dates, times, content areas for the 5 remaining community design workshop sessions.
WE NEED PEOPLE to get the information!!! We want something that people will hesitate to throw out (since the postcard will likely go out through bulk mail).
We need something that appeals to multiple audiences: families, young adults, seniors.
We need to stay away from tiny print (it drives our electeds, and accordingly, us, crazy)
We need to be careful with language and images -- everything can be interpreted in multiple ways -- we are VERY careful about everything that is in the public domain.
More information about the project is available at http://www.emeryvillecenter.org, and http://emerycenter.ning.com/?xgi=35FwUZ3OosIN8B
There are images and documents there that would be helpful
We'll need this stuff translated in to Spanish too... :)
