VitraSingh got their new print or packaging design by running a design contest:
Living Life For Yourself, Not Your Job (Book front/back cover file with spine needed)

Self-publishing a book (on CreateSpace.com) about people who have left their 9 to 5 job in order to pursue a career passion.
What's your vision?
The book will be either 5.25 x 8 and is about 160 pages. I need a front cover, spine, and back cover all as one file. I am using create space and here are the specifications for design: https://www.createspace.com/Products/Book/CoverPDF.jsp here's from more info from create space: "To this I would add that CS uses a very tight binding, which over leaves a large score or crease from the top to the bottom. This is not uncommon in paperbacks these days. The crease is 0.25" in from the spine on both the front and back covers. Although you can now have text 0.125" in from the spine, that would mean the crease could run through some text. I would advise staying in at least 0.25" from the spine." I really am open to design concepts. The book will be placed in the Self-Help/Career categories likely and should appeal to women 20 to 35 years of age. Don't want the design overly "busy" or populated--simple, sleek, bold and effective would be great! The FRONT COVER Title, sub-heading, and author name will be: LIVING LIFE FOR YOURSELF, NOT YOUR JOB (yes--i would like all the characters here to be in capital letters!) EXPERIENCE THE JOURNEYS OF 24 PEOPLE WHO REINVENTED THEIR CAREERS (This should be in Small Captial letters--font size smaller than the main title) VITRA SINGH (author's name aka me :-) If possible, would like my name in a font and sizing that spreads across the bottom part of the cover) BACK COVER Text: Document Attached SPINE (would be fun to have a spunky spine that catches the eyes and gets people curious) LIVING LIFE FOR YOURSELF, NOT YOUR JOB VITRA SINGH Thanks--hope this is thorough enough. Please let me know if you have any questions. Vitra
fyi: I used garamond font for the insides of the book...but i'm open to whatever looks best with the design. Unfortunately I do not have a budget for istock photos higher than $30.
