The Title of the book is: Fruit At Work

This is a book of approximately 160 Pages. The premise of the book is to look at the nine Christian virtues commonly called The Fruit of the Spirit (which are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control) and describe how they can be successfully applied to a work environment.

The book is generally “short and to the point” and is expected to be often used by groups who will explore the topic together. The short, three syllable title is intentional to reinforce the idea that the book “gets down to business”. The cover design should also be "down to business" , but may benefit from the warm and attractive colors and images associated with fruit.

The book is intended for a Christian audience. Because the title is not obviously Christian, some Chrisitian symbol (a cross, bible, etc.) on the cover would could clarify the book's focus. The book deals with workplace issues so the cover should have a workplace feel (vs. home, school, church).

The best design will create a quick, vibrant first impression that is highly inviting to the potential reader to pick up and explore and will be aesthetically pleasing if observed by associates of the reader.
Cover will be printed in full color front and back.

A successful high-tech entrepreneur, Chris Evans was awarded Ernst and Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year for the Carolinas in 1996. He currently advises other entrepreneurs privately and as part of the Blackstone Entrepreneur Network. He has served as a board member of The Trinity Forum and sits on the boards of several non-profits. He and his wife, Cathy, have two children and live in Raleigh.

The book is intended for a Christian audience -- specifically laypeople in the workplace. It is written for men and women, but the market skews male and the cover shouldn't have a look a man would be uncomfortable carrying around. It isn't written to a particular age, but a younger professional feel is probably best. The book is not written specifically to executives (though they will find it just as valuable) and should appeal to readers in a variety of work environments (office, retail, health, etc).

The person attracted to the book is someone who is serious about their faith and serious about their careers. They are struggling to find ways to make their faith relevent to their job -- not feeling like they are switching off the Christian part of them when they get to work, but also not forcing it.
