CapitalPitch is a venture capital platform and investor targeting Australian tech-enabled start-ups at the Seed and Series A stage (ie. early in their development).
We help these start-ups become investor ready, lead the investment round via our venture fund and syndicate the round with smart and strategic follow-on investors.
Target audience: Our target audience is twofold:
* Capital hungry start-ups. We target experienced founders of recently established but rapidly growing businesses. Demographically, they are generally 30-45 year olds, with ambition, vision and significant self-drive. They are seeking a supportive partner with patient capital, a high quality network of advisors and a brand identity that reflects their need for legitimacy.
* Sophisticated investors (high-net worth investors, family offices and large superannuation funds). These audiences are looking for high quality investment opportunities provided by an experienced, insightful, technology-enabled organisation. This audience is typically 40-55, very highly educated, sophisticated, very self-confident, and like to see themselves as insightful, cutting-edge and intellectually curious.
We need the flexibility for the powerpoint to be either sparse with key message/diagrams/charts or dense with words/material. We are also likely to print out certain presentations in booklets, so prefer a less colour-heavy page layout (ie. prefer a white background)
The primary feelings/messages we are looking to communicate are Convenient, Innovative, Dynamic, Upstart, Simple, Streamlined, Intuitive, Successful:
• Dynamism: Being in venture capital, and an earlier stage organisation ourselves, we are investing in dynamic tech-enabled/disruptor businesses.
• Sophistication, insight and quality: whilst still a younger organisation, we need to avoid being flippant in our styling but not stodgy (as financial institutions often are perceived)
• Welcoming: the industry suffers from being opaque and aloof. We want to convey a more welcoming thematic.
• Passion: as serial entrepreneurs, technologists and investors, we need a thematic which conveys that focus and drive.
The corporate colours of CapitalPitch are black, white and blue (specifically #0081ff). The attached Branding Elements PDF provides some additional guidance on secondary colour schemes. And the presentation gives some idea as to the content (albeit its currently being comprehensively rewritten as it is way too convoluted).
We are very open to standard fonts that may be applicable (noting that the logo font is Prometo).
