A Mayor you can be proud of.
Check out talktojeff's Postcard, flyer or print contest…
The product is a candidate for the position of City Mayor. The target audience are the voting public in the community. We want to briefly introduce the candidates priorities and his background as well as encourage people to get involved and get out and vote.
What's your vision?
The project is to develop a two sided flyer/handout that is 95mm x 210mm (1/3 of a standard 8 1/2" by 11" page) to introduce the candidates priorities and background to the voters in a small town of ~12,000 voters. We would also like the same approximate layout as an 89mm x 216mm "door knocker" format that can be left on door knobs during community canvassing. Text is provided in the attached MS Word document. Candidate photos are provided but require some cropped. Final, high res images will be added when available. We need print ready PDF files with all images and fonts embedded and ready for production by any local or web based print service bureau. Colours should be Pantone identified. We also require a high-resolution JPG or PNG versions for distribution on the web. Please provided a separate file identify which fonts are used and any effects applied to the fonts. If we are pleased with the work on this initial piece and the reception it gets, there could be multiple additional projects for the winning designer.
We want a clean, professional, high-end look and feel. Not overly formal, but somewhat formal. With clear, easy to read font choices that convey strength and stability and longevity. Larger type and healthy use of white space. The candidate has chosen black and yellow as his campaign colours, and they should be used but we are open to alternate color combinations as suggestions. Other color suggestions should only be made after first providing the layout in the black and yellow combination. Please crop photos appropriately to optimize. These are placeholder images. Final, high-resolution images will be provided during the contest but are not available yet. ** July 9, 2018 @ 19:46 Pacific Time ** ** Small wording edits to the text copy. New word doc uploaded.
