Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We're a nonprofit that helps journalists around the world do better journalism, empowering them with new technologies and best practices to produce high-impact coverage.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We recently completed a global contest called “TruthBuzz,” in which we asked for ideas on how to tell compelling and fun stories based on fact-checking reports. (https://medium.icfj.org/truthbuzz/home). We awarded prizes to four finalists, each of whom came up with a different approach to this challenge. We plan to feature each of the four finalists in a web page that will include the “key ingredients” that made each successful entry work. On that page, we want to document each key ingredient on a recipe card.
The design task is to create a recipe card template (A6 or 4"x6" size), that we can then fill in with the appropriate text for each entry. We will then post those cards to the web, and on social media, along with short videos from each finalist.
The design work will be focused on the card borders, leaving the center blank for us to add text. Designs should include the title "Key ingredients" at or near the top. You can see two concepts attached, but please do not be limited by those two designs.
We're interested in more contemporary designs that leave plenty of space for the text we want to add (which will be different for each awardee of course)
Given the name of the contest, we encourage at least some designs to have a “bee” theme.
