-------------------------UPDATE: CONTEST EXTENDED!-------------------------------------------------------------------------
**NOTE: We've had feedback that it looks like a lot of work for the money. Please read the brief carefully and you will see the opposite is true. We go into a lot of detail so you won't waste any time and maybe that gives the impression that it's a lot to do.
The reality is this job requires you to source or create 1 to 3 photos of objects per screen x 7 screens. And if you win, you need to spend an hour or so resizing the files to fit different screen dimensions. That's it!
***NOTE: See revision of requirements re photos. You no longer have use royalty free images. We prefer it - but if your design is spectacular in every other way and you have a few stock photos that aren't free, we'll be willing to accommodate that. Just let us know the cost, though, so we know what we're accommodating.
My Industry is really Health/Wellness/Lifestyle but that's not offered in the dropdown menu so I'm noting that here!
We love the designer who won the original 99 Designs app button and logo design contest and went on to create our beautiful theme but he's no longer available to freelance so he's given us his blessing to find someone to take over for him. We decided to run another contest to find that person when we needed the next edition done and our hope is that the winner will be available on an ongoing basis to design the marketing materials for this app as needed.
For the new Mom Edition of our app, we need you to add objects to the existing app screen control backgrounds (the supplied psds of the app's existing seven main screens) that relate to the content and audience of the app. In addition, we need a different color version of the app button and the Mom Edition version of the logo.
We are seeking a graphic designer that can match the current artistic look and feel of the Remindfulness app series in the creation of this “Remindfulness Mom Edition”.
The Design Philosophy
Since these reminders are about scattering moments of "realness" across our busy (stainless steel, cold) days, the objects should feel as 3D as possible and be scattered, positioned so that sometimes they can even partially cover app controls to enhance this effect. (Just make sure we can see what the control is supposed to be)
For example, in the Remindfulness original edition, on the About screen, the butterfly's wing covers part of the http://www.remindfulnessapp.com web address.
It's about contrast, color, coolness.
Objects must have depth, dimension, and scale that draws the eye to the image first, complimenting the text on the screen. A sense of humor is welcome. Try to elicit a feeling of surprise, cleverness and beauty.
To see the two existing editions of Remindfulness, and see what we're talking about, study the screens on these two web pages:
