I am setting up an online course to teach people about all aspects of business capture/development. I have been moderately successful in the world to which I want to supply the course and am passionate about the process of capturing business - from establishing relationships with and influencing the customer, through assembling a team of companies and preparing a competition winning proposal, to negotiating the contract with the customer. It is my experience of all these facets that I want to teach others in a 12 module online course.
The target audience is likely to comprise people (e.g. military personnel or people in jobs like project management) who'd like to change careers and who want to enter into business capture or development (sometimes called marketing). It will also appeal to those in smaller companies who find themselves bidding for larger and larger jobs who just don't have the knowledge or infrastructure of a Boeing or a Lockheed Martin, yet find themselves bidding in the same competitions against these giants. The smaller company needs to "up its game" to be successful without breaking the bank. This course aims to help them do that.
The key thing about the graphic is to be able to replace a lot of descriptive wording and make it obvious what is being offered - i.e. a training course which equips the student to undertake a business capture role.
I’d like to be able to animate the build up of the graphic and have a voice over explaining what the viewer is looking at - probably using Powerpoint and Camtasia – so I’d like to have an original file that lends itself to deleting segments in Powerpoint or Visio.
Please see attached sketch:
What I’m basically looking for is an outer annulus made up of 6 coloured
curved arrow headed segments with editable text boxes – this will be a description of the customer’s project phases (Concept; Definition; Source Identification Source Selection; Manufacture; Support).
The next section is 12 jigsaw piece sections (each the same size and each with an editable text box). This section will be used to describe modules that I’m offering on an online course to learn about business development. It may be good to have the jigsaw pieces locking into the inner and outer rings too, to show that the whole thing is a continuum from customer to training to develop business in a customer environment.
The next annulus is a plain coloured ring which will have 3 editable text lines (Positioning; Proposing; Providing)
Then a ring of 3 (120 degree) arrow sections – each with an editable text box
Finally a centre circle with editable text box.
I’ve drawn 3 straight lines on the sketch these aren’t needed. Each of the modules is in a rounded end box – not needed if jigsaw pieces used.
