"GoWallet" is an online website that gives gift card users the ability to store, manage and inquire about their gift cards' balance and information all in one place. (No more lugging around a stack of 15 gift cards, and not knowing their information). The wallet will also enable users to swap balances between cards, sell cards, and enable redemption of their gift cards via their smartphone and the GoWallet Mobile Application. User will also be privy to targeted offers and rewards as a holder of a particular brand of gift card. (IE. $5 additional value on your next transaction when you use this gift card to pay.)
What's your vision?
We need a landing page that consumers will visit before reaching the main site. This landing page will lead to our 'Create an Account' page on www.gowallet.com. We'll select three designs (from three separate designers) and award $300 each. You may use the current site as a reference and starting point, but these are the elements we do not like and want changed for our landing page: -look and feel is too childish/immature. We'd like a landing page that looks more professional and respectable. Although our site is not necessarily a financial or bank site, we are similar. We are storing consumers gift cards and their values. We want consumers to think the site is secure and trustworthy, like a bank site. In addition, we are a tech savvy, forward thinking company. We don't want to look too traditional. We'd also like the site to look innovative and and somewhat "tech" feeling. -we want colors that are more deep and vibrant, no pastels like the current site. BUT, we do not want the page to look dark or uninviting. -since the landing page leads to the 'Create an Account' page, we want most advertising on the landing page and want a prominent "Sign Up" button that really pops. The concept of this site is very new to consumers, so we need more area to describe the product and its benefits. We have a broad target audience. The people using this site are all gift card users. Primarily they will be gift card recipients, but a lot of the gift card purchasers are also recipients. In addition, primary visitors to our beta site have been male. However, gender should not to be considered as a primary motivator for design. They are consumers who may be into online deal searching, looking for a simple way to keep all their cards in one place, looking to sell their cards, looking to inquire about the balance of all of their cards, etc. They have at least minimal online/mobile experience. They vary from semi to very tech savvy.
