Hipnoz
We are a small startup developing cool iPhone/iPad games. We want to develop innovative titles that take advantage of mobile multitouch platforms.
We like design that looks effortless and clean. However complicated the underlying technology, the way the final product is exposed to the user should be friendly, approachable, and almost effortless to use.
Hipnoz is targeted towards teens who like music and dancing, and who have at least a few music albums on their iPhone/iPad. They follow Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, etc. on social media platforms like Twitter.
Hipnoz is a dancing/rhythm game for the iPhone and iPad. The player's goal is to get a 3D character to dance. Once the player has chosen a song from the device's iTunes library, the player starts tapping to the beat of the song. When a steady beat has been established, the main part of the game begins. Icons flow on the bottom of the screen showing gestures the player needs to do (tap, pinch, etc.). The player needs to do one gesture per beat. For every successful gesture, the character does a dance move. The game ends when the player fills the progress bar or when the song ends, whichever comes first.
The design should work both on iPad (10" screen) as well as iPhone (4" screen). We're not looking for two separate designs - we're looking for one design that can be adapted for both (e.g., moving buttons around, etc.)
This is a multi-touch game, so the user interface elements must be big enough to touch. We have 6 game screens that need UI work. The attached brief goes over each screen, shows you what we have, and tells you what we need. We also need the Hipnoz application icon.
You can be creative with the backgrounds in all except the main game level where the background is part of the game. We can change the colors of the main game to match your design.
We're looking for a clean and fun design. One idea is a design centered around clubbing --- this is a dancing game after all.
