Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Our business is an online aupair platform. (An au pair is a live in nanny - often au pairs are 17-35 year old females). The site is under design, and it will allow families and au pairs to register, and then search for each-other. When you find a match, you contact them, interview them, then arrange for the au pair to obtain the right visa and then come and live with you for an agreed period.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We are looking for a graphic that will be placed at the footer of our website - similar (not the same) to vimeo.com where there is an earth landscape. We are looking for the landscape that shows:
- some key landmarks from each city (e.g. Eiffel tower, Sydney harbor bridge / opera house, statue of liberty, great wall of china etc...
- an block image of a person (an au pair) then "travel dashes" that represent a flight path, a "stopover" cross (x), and then the "travel dashes" land at a small image of a home (representing the family the au pair is going to stay with). If we had (say) 3-10 of these with au pairs in different countries, and the destination houses (families) in different countries.
We don't want the imagery too detailed - refer to the style of the vimeo footer image. We like vivid / bright colors, but nothing too garish.
I have now loaded up my pencil image - you will notice that there is no risk of me becoming a graphic designer...
