Fourth Chapter Books
We're a fiction publisher working in the consumer market.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
This book is a medical fiction novel about high-risk OBGYN's. The target audiences are fiction readers, doctors, midwives, and mothers. The idea is that anybody who has had a baby, wants to have a baby, knows somebody who has a baby, or is interested in the medicine or politics of having a baby should by this book.
-- Trim size: 6 X 9
-- Full color offset printing
-- Title: Catching Babies
-- Author: J.D. Kleinke
-- Leave room for a blurb on the cover: "This is the most amazing book in the world!" -- Best Selling Author
-- We don't want a cutesy cover, but we don't want anything grim, either.
-- We're not picky about colors
-- Medical book covers often look like non-fiction, but we need this to look like a fiction title.
-- We need the designer to go beyond simple medical symbols, like stethoscopes. It's okay to use these, but not, say, a symbol against a white background.
--We'd also like the designer to go beyond simple baby images too: pregnant bellies are out.
--They say not to judge a book by its cover, but readers do. This needs to be appealing.
