We distribute and sell suede tape designed to repair holes in skate shoes, or stop them from ripping in the first place. The fabric tops of skate shoes (the uppers) develop holes within a matter of days/weeks, to the point where shoes are unskateable even though only a small area is damaged. By repairing those holes, TrickTape can make a pair of shoes last indefinitely.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
I need a product catalog to send to skate shops and distributors. The catalog can be very simple - we only have 6 products (really just one product, 6 colors) - I'm thinking the basic layout is a cover page (logo, contact info), product detail page (specs, 3 selling points + bonus point to help shops sell to their customers), and product list with tiered pricing (6 product colors, pricing for 12-49 units, 50-99, and 100+). This will primarily be digital and sent out through email...setting it up in a way where customers can order and pay directly through the catalog would be a huge help as well. I like more minimalist-type designs, so a minimal/skate oriented design would be ideal. Our website is officialtricktape.com - hopefully that gives you a better idea of our business aesthetic (although the website was not professionally done and can use improvement) as well as the black/white/teal color scheme we use. Our three main selling points are listed at the top (Easy to Use, Cost-Saving Durability, Consistent Board Feel) and their underlying descriptions. Our 4th selling point is that our product is environmentally friendly made out of 100% recycled synthetic suede and helps keep shoes out of landfills. I'd like this to be more of a bonus point, not a hard 4th selling point. You can use as is, or if you have better wording suggestions I'm always open to outside feedback! We also have images on our website and Instagram (@officialtricktape) feel free to use any you see fit. Our product line will expand so designing in such a way where we can easily add new colors would be great.
