Our app allows police officers using our cameras to view a live stream or recorded events from their phone.

Style/theme ideas

There are 3 screens that I need designs for: a live video screen, a full-page menu, and a list view with a slide-out inspector. I am attaching a wireframe for the live view with desired controls and placement.

Screen descriptions

An officer initially sees the live video stream. A menu can be accessed that allows the user to access other features, including playback of previously-recorded videos.

What to avoid

Need a "rich" interface that has a lot of "wow" factor. Usability can be sacrificed in favor of a cooler interface.
