Maxfish got their new app design by running a design contest:
Baby Name App
Check out Maxfish's App design contest…
It is an app that contains baby names for new parents
I am quite open minded however i do feel that the female does usually drive the initial conversation about this topic. The app needs to be female friendly however not designed to alienate men. I'm not set on specific colours although its useful to differentiate male and female names using different colours. I'd be happy with an app with or without photos. I want parents to feel an emotional connection to the app so things which look too businesslike, commercial or stark should be avoided. I like colour!
Love Baby Names
The screens i need are: 1) An opening screen, this is the first thing people will see on opening the app, it can contain baby imagery or some sort of logo for the app 2) A screen that shows the name to be picked. This should be available in 3 colours so that it can show female, male and unisex names. 3) Shows a list of the names which have been picked As marked on the attachment some of the screens need to include a menu strip along the base to allow navigation between screens
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. App design starts at HK$4,899.

Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
Maxfish collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
