Leonelli Taberna will open in the Evelyn Hotel in NYC's Nomad neighborhood in Q1 of 2018. It will be a fun, casual Roman Trattoria serving rustic Italian cuisine, along with a craft cocktail Bar and Lounge. The menu will be a comprised of baked pastas, braised meats, seafood, and will have a significant emphasis on grains and vegetables. It will be open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We are looking for a standard menu template that can be used for several of the restaurant menus (breakfast/lunch/brunch/dinner)--the same overall design, and we would swap out copy as necessary Please note that there is potential for future one-to-one contracted work for additional menus (and other design needs) with the winner of the contest.

-Menus to be created/printed on legal size paper (8.5 inches wide x 14 inches long) - menu will be held/read vertically

-Please see the attached file for an example of the dinner menu. This is merely meant to show the different menu items and categories, but we are hoping to bring a designer's eye to how everything is laid out/formatted (including the placement of the logo). Please note that Stuzzichini/Antipasti/Insalata are small bites and starters; Pasta Al Forno, Pesce E Carne, and Contorni compromise Mains; and Dolce are Desserts. In terms of how these categories are separated, that's what we want to see ideas for. Maybe they have boxes around them? Maybe there's a nice page break between categories? We'd love to see options
-Beverages (beer, wine, non-alcoholic) will be listed on the back of the dinner menu -- see attached dinner menu. This needs to be designed/formatted as well
-Design-wise, we like a fairly simple and clean aesthetic, and aren't really looking for the creation of additional brand assets
-I've attached renderings of the restaurant, and the plates, to give some inspiration for the feel of the concept
