WHO WE ARE
The Veterans Count team is laser-focused on money-earning problems affecting transitioning members of the military and their families.

Veterans leave their first job post-military after only 9 months – and they leave their second job after only 18 months. Bottom line is that veterans feel unhappy with their initial career choices. We’ve heard often that veterans would like a some time to clear their heads once they leave the Service and to really think about the future, but they feel trapped by the need to immediately start generating income for the family. Our goal is to give veterans the time they need, while still being able to provide for their families.

Sixteen-percent of military spouses are unemployed. That’s among the highest of any group in the Nation. 27% of military families are single earner households --- against their will. Spouses have a tough time finding work because they’re changing addresses too often to put down roots employers are looking for. Additionally, professional certifications are not transferring easily from state to state, leaving spouses locked out of their chosen professions. Our goal is to give spouses the opportunity, regardless of how often they have to move, they deserve to work in a fulfilling job, provide some supplemental income for the family, and gain valuable skills.
OUR OFFER TO YOU
Veterans Count is here to serve as a bridge for transitioning service men and women as they consider their true calling post military service. We place veterans in positions coast-to-coast. These positions provide excellent communications training and prepare our veterans for their futures as civilians --- whether that’s going to school on their G.I. Bill, pursuing a career with a company, starting a business of their own. For spouses, Veterans Count locates jobs that they can comfortably manage no matter where they are in the country. Jobs are project-based so our spouses can plug in when it’s convenient for them in order to generate extra income for the family. Spouse receive high-end communications training that valued by subsequent employers and we provide mentorship in order to help spouses navigate toward their future goals.

TYPES OF JOBS + SALARIES
We wish that we could match transitioning soldiers and spouses with any type of job, but we just don’t have that capability at the moment.
We specialize in matching soldiers and spouses with jobs in the growing world of relationship marketing. Companies have realized that while technology is exciting and it’s making our lives easier in many ways, unfortunately it’s also creating distance between people. That’s why organizations of all types, private sector companies, governments, and non-for-profits are investing more in one-on-one relationship marketing efforts.
Jobs could range from collecting survey responses at retail stores or even door-to-door in your neighborhood to bringing a critical public health message to a particular neighborhood or assisting in disaster relief efforts.
If you’re interested in the opinions of others or fascinated by the idea of being able to learn how to persuade others, then this is a great field for you.
We’ve found that the training and experience in advanced communications and “better listening” has no only helped put food on the table, but its strengthened the families who work on our projects as they learn to communicate better at home.
Typical salaries range from $15-$20 per hour for long-term projects (2 months or more)
$25-$30 per hour for short term projects (4 weeks or fewer)
ADVANCED TRAINING: As part of your experience with us, you’ll learn the most advanced communication skills available in the world today.
PHYSICAL HEALTH: Aside from the training and mentorship you receive, these jobs can keep you in shape. We’ve had walk challenges among teams where they pushed each other to excel.
TEAM ORIENTED: Our teams speak using military terminologies. People care for one another just like they do in the Service. The collegiality will remind you of what’s best about the military.
FLEXIBLE SCHEDULES: We accommodate your schedule. Whether it’s making time for you to complete University coursework or understanding when you’ve got Reserve duty.
W2 EMPLOYEE: You will be a W2 employee, not just a contractor, and once you’ve completed your first project with us, you will have a non-military reference that civilian employers can call.
