A winner was selected from 63 designs submitted by 20 freelance designers.
We are seeking a logo for use on a web site to be used to develop a data interchange standard.
DEAML.org
Logo for consortium (DEAML.org).
DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) is a mathematical technique for comparing the efficiency of different "autonomous" entities (such as bank branches, hospitals, schools). The technique works by constructing a frontier of the best performing entities and comparing the others against it. This results in a ranking, based on efficiency, of all the entities (with the best-practice examples being at 100%). More information is available at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Data_E…t_Analysis.
As the calculations involved in DEA are intensive, they are usually performed in software. A consortium wishes to create a formal/technical standard (via an XML Schema) for describing DEA inputs and outputs. The goal of this project is to facilitate the transfer of DEA models between organizations, researchers and software vendors.
The logo should be simple, and incorporate the text "DEAML" (this may or may not be the primary element of the logo). It must work well on-line, in print, in color and in monochrome - i.e. it shouldn't be too subtle.
- Suitable for web use
- Suitable for black and white printed use
- Vector format file
- Something that doesn't look professional or serious
