Kibin
I am the founder and CEO of a new start-up that will be launching in September. The company is an online web application and marketplace for peer editing and peer review.
Right now, we are finalizing the design of our website and need a logo to match it.
Our target audience will initially be students but we are not wanting to pigeonhole ourselves to this demographic. We are targeting anyone who needs a paper edited and reviewed by a third party. This could be an academic paper, an article for a newspaper or magazine, or even a job cover letter or resume.
The company name is Kibin and we are in need of a logo.
We require a web 2.0 look and feel. We really like Mint.com's logo (http://www.mint.com) and feel like this encompasses the web 2.0 movement.
We also require you to use the tag line "the new review market" somewhere in the logo.
Also, we would like to see some sort of symbol incorporated with the logo that will be recognizable. Again, see mint's logo for an example.
Right now, we have a temporary logo at http://www.kibin.com This is simply something we are using and NOT what we are looking for in a logo, but it does illustrate the use of the tagline, etc.
The logo should also be able to work well on a business card and would love a visual of this if you can provide it.
Lastly, please review the attached file. The logo needs to work and fit with the color scheme as this will be our homepage.
Please ask any questions, they will be responded to promptly.
EDIT: We had been toying with a logo idea of the "K" of Kibin being on a piece of paper and the upper right corner folded over (so it's obvious it's a piece of paper). The logo should convey what we do in some way which is a marketplace for peer editing and review of documents. I have attached some of the earlier versions but these would need to be taken to a much higher level of design and more creativity.
