Update a logo for a financial planner targeting Gen X clients!

Oliver Financial Planning

We provide fee-only financial planning and advice to Generation X individual and families. We act as fiduciaries, which means we always put our clients' interests first.

I'd like to explore the following colors:

Blues (Knowledge, trust, calm and honesty.)
Greens (Growth, harmony and success.)
Oranges (Creativity, adventure and happiness.)

I like simple and clean design. While I do like the font and lettering style of my current logo (see attached), I have never really liked the icon. You should not feel beholden to any part of my current logo.

I plan to focus on Gen X clients who are tech savvy, so I would like to have the icon be able to stand alone like an iPhone app icon. (See the attached Evernote and Red Cross examples.)

I no longer want the "LLC" portion of the business name in my logo.

Update: After seeing initial designs, I can add the following comments:
1) I do not want the usual bars signifying the financial markets in the icon, 2) I do not want "Planning" separated from "Financial"; it's fine to separate "Oliver" from "Financial Planning", but not "Oliver Financial" from "Planning", 3) I do not mind designs that incorporate the O of Oliver as a design element but I do not like the rest of the name (LIVER) as capital letters because it makes "LIVER" stand out, not "OLIVER".

Update 2: I wonder about using an olive leaf, branch or wreath for the mark to tie to the "olive" of "oliver". Any ideas?

Update 3: I would be interested in seeing ideas that look like a crest similar to the AFC Ann Arbor logo I just uploaded. I realize there is not a lot of time left.
