How ehogan started their logo design journey

I am a young mother of 3 under 3, hoping to fill a hole in the photography market in my area. I have taken my passion of photography to the next level after having my children and realising I was surrounded by like minded families crying out for original, artistic and beautiful photographs of their children and lives. They also didn't want to pay the earth for Anne Geddes rip offs, cliches of babies in pot plants and washing baskets! The days of expensive, generic, unoriginal Pixie Photos are over and I am here to change things!
These children and baby portraits lead to weddings, maternity, newborns, families and everything in between!
No one wants boring old wedding photos of the cutting of the cake and the rings! I can capture the feeling of that special day with an artistic flair that needs a logo to match!
It is now time to take this 'hobby' and turn it into a legitimate business, and start making a profit along the way.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Although at this early stage, my main clients have been families and weddings, I would like to spread my wings to local events, schools, and even landscapes. I also do not charge the earth that some photographers do, as I believe everyone should be able to enjoy and fall in love with these captured moments.
I do not want a fancy logo with frills and curly whirly bits. I want it to be fun, but at same time, taken seriously. A fun logo for the baby and family photos, and the same logo changed slightly to accommodate a fancy wedding or landscape. The use of a stand out font is important, something not generic, but easily read, deciphered and recognised. The words LILY HARRISON PHOTOGRAPHY should be the main part of the logo, and perhaps a symbol secondary.
I need a watermark logo to match, using the letters LHP and perhaps the matching symbol, to appear on each copyrighted photo.
Basically, this design is 3 fold:
1 fun logo for young family clients
the same logo 'fancied' up slightly for more serious occasions
the basic letters of the business as a water mark.
