We are a web portal, TV show and blog targeted to "mature" women who've (still) got style, smarts and ambition and who want useful information, practical ideas and smart, funny conversation about the realities of life at our stage. The tone is hip but mature, edgy but not aggressive, fresh but not naive, fun but not silly and irreverent but mature.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Women between the ages of 40 and 60 who are still fully engaged in career and life. Probably professional and executive, mid to upper income. We think More magazine is too bland, Cougartown is vulgar and anything targeted to "boomers" and "retirees" as being way too old and lacking our kind of drive and energy. Many of us still have kids living at home. Most of us are in the middle of or are considering something of a reinvention or next phase of our lives, whether that be as a result of a change in marital status or a change in our business/profession. A huge number of us are starting businesses or redirecting our careers. We stay current - fashion, news, technology, music - but are not driven by popular opinion. We know who we are and what we want, and we want to hear and participate in straight talk about the realities of our lives.
While the idea of a "reboot" is a technology term, as women we immediately think of footwear when someone mentions boots, so if we can work with a boot as a graphic element of some sort that would be our first preference - and that's not a directive to use a boot, but a request to use a boot or the idea of a boot either literally or in a suggested way.
