DealCloud, LLC is a startup software company that will sell Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions to the alternative investment industries (described further in the Target Audience section). The solution is based on Microsoft SharePoint technology and will be a direct competitor to salesforce.com, other solutions built on salesforce.com, and proprietary CRM solutions. We will develop micro-vertical applications for each of the industries described below with our first foray in private equity (solution URL will be http://www.pedealcloud.com ). We need a corporate brand, identity, and tagline and have no pre-conceived notions as to what our corporate logo should look like. The concept of cloud computing and software-as-a-service is hot right now – the ability to use software directly from a web browser without the need for any hardware or software. The company will be based in Charlotte, NC and we expect to sell our solution in many of the financial centers around the USA – New York, Charlotte, San Fran, etc. We will also be selling internationally in Western Europe and Australia.
The alternative investment industry is comprised of private equity, venture capital, angel investing, independent sponsors, lending, investment banking, mergers and acquisitions, corporate development, and corporate finance. The software buyers will be bankers and financial services professionals. We hope to capture those buyers that want something different than salesforce.com and are looking for software built for the industry, by professionals that live and breathe the industry (us). DealCloud will be a direct competitor to Salesforce.com’s native venture capital platform (http://www.salesforce.com/industrie…l-markets/), the Alternative Investment Management application from app.x (http://sites.force.com/appexchange/…0019DUEEA2), and a company called Navatar which is another SaaS solution built on top of salesforce.com (http://www.navatargroup.com/industr…quity.html). The DealCloud solution will be able to be deployed as a SaaS solution (hosted externally) or directly in the customer's data center (on-premise solution).
We don’t want our logo to look like the salesforce logo (see attached image) although the concept of using a cloud is ok but not a requirement. A screen shot of the actual application is also attached as well as a case study for one of our early customers prior to forming the company. We are wide open on a color scheme. Customers will have the option of running the application in orange, green, or grey skins (see screen shots with each color scheme) so the logo will need to blend for each. An eps file format is ok as long as it can be imported into Word, etc. to create marketing slicks. We would also want a jpg file format.
