The Well Run Site
We are a small team developing a service that helps website owners make their sites more effective through constant monitoring, diagnostics and analysis. We believe that every site can be improved, and that sites owned and operated by those with little or no technical knowledge can usually be improved a great deal, given the proper direction. Our service provides that direction.
Just tell us your domain name and we begin examining and monitoring your site and offering easy to understand suggestions on how it can be improved. Our goal is to provide a service that is never over the customer's head; our recommendations are straightforward and easy to understand by all.
I've run design contests here on 99designs before. I believe some of the best designers can be found here, which is why I've come back. I can guarantee that your designs will receive almost immediate feedback (except when I'm sleeping, of course), so your design efforts will not be wasted and you won't have to wonder what I'm thinking.
The winning designer will receive a linkback from our site when it goes live. We will probably also want to work with you on our page designs, depending on your availability and other factors.
I look forward to reviewing the submissions and thanks very much for your participation.
Our target audience is expected to be mostly non-technical or moderately technical. We want to emphasize that our service is easy to use and perhaps even a little bit fun. This means eliminating the intimidation factor. Two sites I can think of that do a good job of this are Mailchimp.com and LetsFreckle.com.
Again, the design should be modern, suggest what we do and possibly even be slightly amusing - but go lightly on that last point; there is a fine line between whimsy and making yourself look ridiculous.
Note: Please ignore the current content on thewellrunsite.com, which is a blog. It does NOT reflect the focus of this new business or its logo.
These are just general guidelines. What I am really hoping is that you use your own judgment and create something entirely original based on what I have described. The best designs are usually from designers who put themselves in the position of the customer who'll be seeing the design for the very first time.
Logo should be delivered in vector format, either Photoshop or Illustrator.
