"City Slots" (primary). "West End Raceway" (secondary/optional)
We are looking to create a modern, strong and bold logo for our new digital slot car experience business. The business is to create a new experience for modern corporates and "racer" consumers alike, by utilizing the latest high tech Scalextric Digital Track system and by adopting high tech Italian and American made super cars to race on it. Our track is 33 Metres long, it has many straights and hairpin corners, so it is a true speed track capable of high speeds and excitement.
The business will also consist of a retail shop specializing in the sales and maintenance of 1/32 slot cars.
* Corporate Groups
* Middle Class Middle aged Men
* Family groups often consisting of Father and Son combinations
* International University Students
& existing Slot Car Enusiasts
With our target audience in mind, we believe that we need something clean and bold that would look amazing on a print in b&w on the wall or on a T-Shirt or cap, as it would in 2 colour on the sign on the front door.
We like the idea of clean bold type, slightly Italicized to give the feeling of speed, in a legible and modern typography with a singular symbol that brings it all together to become a solid corporate identity system that will sit comfortably among traditional motor racing paraphernalia and logos such as:
*Penzoil petroleum company
*Ninco Slot Cars
*Gulf Motor Racing
We would like a simple and singular icon that supports a racing feel, like a unique finishing/racing flag or other. We are not looking for anything busy, cluttered or over designed.
We like Yellow Pantone 116 & Black as the preferred colours. The logo needs to be clean and corporate enough that we look professional and presentable and not like some kids playing with toy cars.
the logo's primary focus should be the words "CITY SLOTS" and "WEST END RACEWAY" as a secondary element which will be optional in the design.
The final artwork will be required to be supplied in Vector format in either Freehand MX or Adobe Illustrator.
