We sell oil and gas regulatory data. We already have a company logo which I've uploaded here -- we are not changing that logo. These 2 logos are for our two new software products, Oseberg Sól and Oseberg Atla. Please see our existing logo to make sure your submissions are consistent.
Most importantly, keep things modern and in line with our current branding -- go to the company website at https://oseberg.io. After that, we're a data company and a tech company, so it needs to be modern. Think an ocean of data -- and we help you find your way. So, data, signal, wave, but also what I mention below which is norse/viking mythology, the sun, navigation, ships, the sea. That's WAY too much for one logo, so whatever strikes your creativity is best.
Our branding has a viking tinge to it -- Oseberg refers to both the archaeological find referred to as "The Oseberg Ship" and the Oseberg field, an oil field in the north sea. We focus on exploration themes with our branding and we help our users navigate "seas of data." Hence, viking mythology/culture + navigational elements are key to our identity. That's us -- viking navigational ethos applied to oil and gas.
Oseberg Atla is named for the Norse goddess Atla and is meant to evoke the "Atlas" god in Greek mythology which obviously should lead to the concept of a map or atlas. This product contains a mapping interface for our data and is our top tier product. If you do decide to include a map of some sort in the Atla product logo, that would make sense.
Oseberg Sól is our lightweight product and does not contain a mapping interface . Sól the product is named for the viking goddess of the sun. The sun is also a means of navigation, and I had an idea of mashing up a sun and the wheel of a ship. I am not married to that idea. This product helps user access data and search data that is typically very hard to search and mine. It's fast, lightweight, and easy to use. It does NOT have a map, so please, NO map elements in the Sól logo.
